Celtic V Hearts Predicted Xi As Brendan Considers Including New Signings

Celtic v Hearts: Predicted XI as Brendan considers including new signings

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is expected to make a number of changes to his team for the visit of Hearts to Celtic Park on Sunday.

The Hoops have won their last two matches in all competitions, scoring 10 goals in the process, and will be looking to continue their good form against a Hearts side who have lost their last two matches.

Rodgers is likely to recall some of his key players who were rested for the midweek win over St Johnstone, including captain Scott Brown, goalkeeper Craig Gordon and striker Moussa Dembele.

New signings Vakoun Bayo and Oliver Burke are also pushing for a starting place, but Rodgers may be reluctant to throw them in from the start.

Here is our predicted Celtic XI for the match against Hearts:

  • Goalkeeper: Craig Gordon
  • Defence: Mikael Lustig, Kristoffer Ajer, Dedryck Boyata, Kieran Tierney
  • Midfield: Scott Brown, Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic
  • Attack: Moussa Dembele, James Forrest, Scott Sinclair

Hearts manager Craig Levein is also expected to make changes to his team, with Steven Naismith and Uche Ikpeazu both pushing for a starting place.

The Jambos have lost their last two matches, conceding seven goals in the process, and will be looking to bounce back with a positive result against Celtic.

Levein is likely to stick with a 4-4-2 formation, with Naismith and Ikpeazu leading the line.
