American Airlines Domestic Flight Lands In Bahamas Yall Are Illegal Immigrants Here

Passengers on American Airlines flight stranded in Bahamas for 24 hours

Background

On Wednesday, August 3, 2023, American Airlines flight 2421 from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Miami, Florida was diverted to Nassau, Bahamas due to severe weather.

The flight was scheduled to depart at 10:30am and arrive in Miami at 1:30pm. However, the plane was forced to land in Nassau at 12:30pm due to thunderstorms and heavy rain.

Passengers stranded

The passengers were stranded in Nassau for over 24 hours. American Airlines provided them with meals and hotel accommodations, but many were frustrated by the lack of communication from the airline.

Some passengers said they were not given any information about when they would be able to continue their journey to Miami.

Passenger experience

One passenger, Dimas Henriquez, said he was "stranded in a different country without a passport." He said he was given a hotel room, but he was not able to leave the hotel because he did not have a passport.

Another passenger, Maria Rodriguez, said she was "very frustrated" by the lack of communication from American Airlines.

"We were just sitting in the airport for hours, with no idea what was going on," she said.

American Airlines response

American Airlines apologized for the inconvenience caused to the passengers and said it was working to get them to Miami as soon as possible.

The airline said the weather conditions in Miami were still too severe for the plane to land, but it was hoped that the flight would be able to depart on Thursday, August 4, 2023.
